Taylorismo, fordismo ed elaborazione del nuovo tipo umano

By analysing some articles that appeared in the journal «L’Ordine Nuovo», some translations carried out in February-March 1929, as well as some paragraphs of Notebooks 1, 4, 9 and in some cases also the respective second drafts, this essay intends to highlight the development of the idea of the formation of a «new human type» suited to Fordist transformations. The aim of the article is, in short, to show the connection, in the pages written by Gramsci during imprisonment, between pedagogical reflections on the formation of subjectivities in modernity and the analysis of Americanism, Fordism, Taylorism.

Analizzando alcuni articoli pubblicati su «L’Ordine Nuovo», alcune traduzioni svolte nel febbraio-marzo del 1929, nonché alcuni paragrafi dei quaderni 1, 4, 9 e, in alcuni casi, le rispettive seconde stesure, questo studio intende illuminare lo sviluppo dell’idea della formazione di un «nuovo tipo umano» connesso al fordismo. L’intenzione è di mostrare il nesso, nelle pagine gramsciane stese durante la reclusione, fra le riflessioni pedagogiche sulla formazione delle soggettività moderne e quelle sull’americanismo, il fordismo, il taylorismo.
