This essay analyzes the different point of view expressed by Rem Koolhaas and Vittorio Gregotti on the concepts of "great dimension" and "Bigness". Two approaches to architecture that have their origins in the design experiences of the "geographical visions" of Le Corbusier and in the hypotheses of metabolist and radical architects in the sixties. Two different ways of understanding reality, which for thirty years have given rise to a compelling ideological clash.
