Verso una nuova identità dell’abitare. Interpretazioni contemporanee e soluzioni adattive nel design degli spazi domestici contemporanei

This essay seeks to identify some trajectories in the field of contemporary design for living. To this end, the concept of existenzminimum is employed as a key interpretive framework, enabling a systematic examination of the theme of habitation. In doing so, the essay responds to socio-cultural transformations and environmental emergencies. The aim is to examine how these practices can facilitate an eco-social perspective on living, reconfiguring domestic spaces through design solutions that integrate sustainability, multifunctionality, and new technologies. Through a theoretical and critical examination and a structured qualitative approach, combining thematic and multi-criteria analysis, this contribution seeks to enrich the debate on the redefinition of contemporary living's identity.
