Raccontare le migrazioni : spunti dall’esperienza di ricerca del programma intensivo Forthem BIP (Blended Intensive Programme)

This article will examine various aspects of the interdisciplinary debate on migration that occurred during the Forthem BIP intensive program entitled “Migrants and Cities: Intersectional studies on the mutual interaction between new citizens and urban space,” held in Palermo, Italy, June 10-14, 2024. The main objective of the event was to analyze the complex and unstable framework of migration from multiple perspectives. Through an interdisciplinary approach, different topics regarding migration were explored, with a focus on empirical studies of quantitative and qualitative research to better understand the migration phenomenon and its spatial consequences. This article aims to contribute to the discussion on the challenges and opportunities related to migration in a changing European context, highlighting how events of this kind facilitate and implement such discussions.
