The contribution proposes a reflection on the role of media education in promoting citizenship skills and in combating digital educational poverty in the zero-six age, starting from the use of existing tools, remodeled with an innovative approach. The declination in a media education perspective of the ministerial Pedagogical Indications for early childhood in connection with the analysis of the Home Education Service (SED) is the focus of this systemic and interdisciplinary intervention model centered on dual-purpose learning units, for teachers and SED operators. The operational proposal consists of a UDA that develops learning units (LU) on the relationship between identity, languages and tools, integrating didactic and educational action that can contribute to the promotion of active citizenship practices in the family and at school.

Abstract
