Personaggi proverbiali: uno studio onomastico sulla raccolta paremiografica di Giuseppe Pitrè

(Proverbial characters: An Onomastic Study on the paremiographic collection of Giuseppe Pitrè) The issue analyzes proper names within the paremiological corpus of Giuseppe Pitrè, published between the second half of the 19th century and the early 20th century. The corpus allows to evaluate how much the proper names define the meaning of proverbs and their geographical distribution. Two types of analysis are presented: a quantitative investigation and a qualitative analysis.

L’articolo offre un’analisi dei nomi propri di persona presenti nel corpus paremiografico di Giuseppe Pitrè, pubblicato tra la seconda metà del 1800 e gli inizi del 1900. Il corpus consente di valutare quanto i nomi propri contribuiscano a determinare il senso generale e la circoscrivibilità areale della sentenza sapienziale. L’analisi, pertanto, si svolge lungo gli assi quantitativo e qualitativo.
