ANALYSING ERRORS IN RUSSIAN VERB ACQUISITION BY ITALIAN L1 LEARNERS: THE COMPLEXITY OF VERBS OF MOTION

This paper delves into the acquisition of Russian verbs by Italian L1 learners, highlighting the most common errors and challenges encountered in the process. Through a comparative analysis, it seeks to uncover the underlying patterns that Italian speakers commonly face while learning and using Russian verb forms. The study’s primary goal is to shed light on the unique difficulties Italian learners experience due to the disparities between Russian and Italian. By doing so, it aims to suggest effective language learning strategies tailored for Italian L1 learners, potentially enhancing instructional approaches and improving learner outcomes in second language acquisition.
