Adalbert of Prague (known also as Sanctus Adalbertus, Vojt!ech Slavníkovec, Wojciech Sławnikowic or B”ela) was one of the most prominent Czech missionaries and saints of Christianity. He was born around the year AD 956 (in the following dates AD is henceforth understood), possibly in Libice nad Cidlinou (nowadays in the territory of the Czech Republic), being son to Slavník and St!rezislava, the founders of the Slavník dynasty.
