The contribution focuses on the question of the identification of the ancient location of Camico, known above all thanks to the sources on the famous myth of Cocalus, Daedalus and Minos, with the location of Monte Castello near Sant'Angelo Muxaro. For this purpose, all the literary sources that speak of the center of Camico in relation to both the mythical episode and the historical events in which the Sican city is involved are examined.
