Humanitarian organizations can prioritize their response efforts towards disasters and calamities such as earthquakes, directing aid and resources to where they are most needed. Through the reporting of a case study in the Moroccan High Atlas following the September 2023 earthquake, the relationship between digital humanitarianism and geoweb research frameworks in post-emergence contexts is investigated. Essentially, while the ruins left behind by earthquakes may symbolize loss, the use of humanitarian maps gives hope for a narrative of redemption.

Abstract
Humanitarian organizations can prioritize their response efforts towards disasters and calamities such as earthquakes, directing aid and resources to where they are most needed. Through the reporting of a case study in the Moroccan High Atlas following the September 2023 earthquake, the relationship between digital humanitarianism and geoweb research frameworks in post-emergence contexts is investigated. Essentially, while the ruins left behind by earthquakes may symbolize loss, the use of humanitarian maps gives hope for a narrative of redemption.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
