Mediterranean countries are facing increasing waves of drought, due to climate change. Landscapes and cities are going through several mutations. The essays aims at analysing the actual changes as far as architecture and landscape are concerned. It also provides to implement a different kind of architecture that can cope with drought. It is based on a new relationship between building and water. As a consequence roofs will become water captators and water reservoirs will be integrated within the building.

Abstract
