The article deals with the biblical figure of the nazir, focusing on the textual variant of the qumranic fragment called 4QSama. It looks for elements of similarity with prophecy on the basis of the attestations of Josephus. If Samuel seems linked to the description of a prophetic Nazirite, Samson seems more linked to the ancient warrior elements.
