The essay investigates iconographic and ornamental aspects relating to Sicilian devotional jewels which were very widespread during the second half of the 17th century and the first half of the 18th. It studies some medallions in gold or silver and painted enamel, almost always on copper, with wide social circulation and who enjoyed great fortune throughout the Mediterranean. In them the enamels are the undisputed protagonists and the sacred images painted represent the cults of dulìa and hyperdulìa best known in Sicily at that time, images recognized by the Church and dear to the faithful.
