This paper seeks to bring to light a reflection on the use of linguistic analysis of the text as a good practice when undertaking the translation of a specialized discourse. The theoretical considerations that will be presented are the result of an action-research carried out over years in the course of Specialized Language and Translation: Spanish .at the second year of the Master in Modern Languages and Translation for International Relations of the University of Palermo. In this research-action, morpho-linguistic and lexico-semantic analysis of the text has been experimented under a neurodidactic perspective, applying techniques and tools that can stimulate the process of decoding the prototext and coding the metatext. This has a twofold purpose: first, to reinforce the skills of linguistic analysis, a competence that is not always incorporated into the classes of specific languages, since it is often mistakenly assumed that it constitutes a fundamental prerequisite. And secondly, to work the metatranslation competence as a crosstool for each textual type, in an area where both CAT tools, translation memories, and neural machine translation guarantee quality texts that nevertheless need to be processed later by a professional translator.

Abstract
And secondly, to work the metatranslation competence as a crosstool for each textual type, in an area where both CAT tools, translation memories, and neural machine translation guarantee quality texts that nevertheless need to be processed later by a professional translator.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
