The 2023 edition of the EURA annual conference took place between the 22-24 of June 2023 at the University of Iceland (Reykjavík). The conference mirrored the interest and engagement of all fields of urban studies in understanding how contemporary cities can be lived, designed, built, planned, and governed, which in turn coincides with a wide range of changes that are taking place worldwide. This article summarises how the conference perceived the objective of bridging research, policy, and practice, in a time that the role of the scientific community should not be disregarded because the knowledge it generates might have the capacity to minimise the degree of uncertainty and, consequently, help decision-makers build resilience.

Abstract
The 2023 edition of the EURA annual conference took place between the 22-24 of June 2023 at the University of Iceland (Reykjavík). The conference mirrored the interest and engagement of all fields of urban studies in understanding how contemporary cities can be lived, designed, built, planned, and governed, which in turn coincides with a wide range of changes that are taking place worldwide. This article summarises how the conference perceived the objective of bridging research, policy, and practice, in a time that the role of the scientific community should not be disregarded because the knowledge it generates might have the capacity to minimise the degree of uncertainty and, consequently, help decision-makers build resilience.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
