The article analyzes the main legislative innovations provided for by the new EU Regulation 2022/720 of 19 May 2022 (Vertical Block Exemption Regulation, more briefly “VBER”), with specific attention to the new regulation of online distribution, with respect to which the attitude of the European legislator appears more rigorous than in the past, especially in case of conduct involving online plat-forms. A final paragraph is dedicated to a brief analysis of the so called sustainability agreements, not expressly considered by the VBER, and yet regulated in an insufficient and non-exhaustive manner within the new Guideline on vertical restraints.
