I dispositivi ottici ne Il Deserto dei Tartari di Dino Buzzati

The aim of the paper is to read the Desert of the Tartars under two interpretive keys: the first is that of spatiality and the border , in relation to the propaganda of Italian colonialism; the second is the relationship that links visuality to the exercise of power, found both in the building of the fortress and in the possibilities of the optical instruments used by the characters.

L’obiettivo del contributo è di rileggere il Deserto dei tartari sotto due chiavi interpretative: la prima è quella della spazialità e della frontiera, in relazione alla propaganda del colonialismo italiano; la seconda è la relazione che lega la visualità all’esercizio del potere, riscontrata sia nell’edificio della fortezza, sia nelle possibilità degli strumenti ottici utilizzati dai personaggi.
