This contribution aims to describe and analyze the presence in Palermo of foreign citizens, and in particular the youngest among them, discussing how it has changed over the course of ten years (2012-2022) and how it has been addressed through urban policies that often have to do with the issue of education. To do so, the chapter uses demographic, and thus predominantly quantitative, analysis in its first part, while in the second it relies on a qualitative analysis of documents that refers to critical discourse analysis.
