The subjects collected in this paper can fuel the international debate and give researchers a way to tackle the contemporary climatic, environmental and health challenges by, on the one hand, implementing 'virtuous connections' among the different stakeholders of the building process and, on the other, identifying the innovation drivers useful to spread the culture of social, econom-ic and environmental sustainability that could favour, through conscious products and processes, the much desired digital and ecological transitions.
