An updated check-list of Sicilian pteridophytes is presented: in total, there are 55 taxa, including 49 ferns in the strict sense (“monilophytes”) and 6 lycopodiophytes. Aspleniaceae is the most represented family in terms of species diversity, with 17 taxa belonging to a single genus (Asplenium) which is also the most numerous. Some taxonomic and chorological graphs, based on the check-list, are shown.
