The contribution is a report of a preparatory study for the staging of the “Dantons Tod”, represented at the conference about Georg Büchner, on 18th October 2013 at University of Trento. This study, accurately described in each phase, is conceived according to the method of theatrical improvisation in which dramatic play skills are combined with philological ones, pertaining to the structural and rhetorical features of the text.
