The project “Immersive Teaching as a new Frontier of Metacognitive Education”, aims to develop an innovative academic approach through the use of Augmented Reality (AR). The ultimate goal is to increase student engagement, motivation in studying and the quality of learning. This contribution presents the design of a teaching activity that involved students of Educational Methodologies and Training Techniques (60 students) and Educational Technologies (100 students), utilizing Hololens headsets and Hevo Collaboration Softwarein the course of Teaching Methodologies and Techniques of Education (60 students) of Teaching Technologies (100 students) at University of Palermo, thanks to Hololens visors and Hevo Collaboration Software. The aim is to make the student an active protagonist and agent in the immersive environment, through experiential and meaningful learning processes.
