Our original aim was to discuss the possibility of using quantum ideas in contexts which are not necessarily those of the usual quantum world, and to convince the reader that the Schrödinger or the Heisenberg equations of motion, the ladder operators, or even the number or the Hamiltonian operators, can be efficiently used in the description of some macroscopic systems, with few or many agents, in various fields of research.

Abstract

Our original aim was to discuss the possibility of using quantum ideas in contexts which are not necessarily those of the usual quantum world, and to convince the reader that the Schrödinger or the Heisenberg equations of motion, the ladder operators, or even the number or the Hamiltonian operators, can be efficiently used in the description of some macroscopic systems, with few or many agents, in various fields of research.
