The paper aims to contribute to the the theoretical analysis of two different but related notions: diagram and gesture. After a preliminary clarification played by each notion in different disciplinary domains (linguistics, anthropology, mathematics, semiotics, philosophy of art), the essay discusses their nexus in the framework of the philosophy of Gilles Châtelet.
