Thispaperpresentsastudyontheproductionofasphalttestspecimensinthelaboratorycontainingreclaimedasphalt.Themixtures consideredwerestonemasticasphaltconcretemixturescontainingupto30%ofreclaimedasphalt.Specimenswerecompactedto thereferencedensityobtainedfromtheMarshallmixdesign.Gyrationcompactionmethodwasusedforpreparingspecimensfor theexperimentalprogramme,whilecoringandcuttingmethodsandX-raycomputedtomography(CT)wereusedtoinvestigatethe changeinpropertieswithinthespecimensandtovalidatetheselectedmethodology.Thestudyconcludedthatgyratorycompaction issuitabletoproducehomogeneoustestspecimensalsoformixturescontaininghighamountofreclaimedasphalt.Nevertheless, preliminarytrialsforeachmaterialaremandatory,aswellasfinalcoringandtrimmingofthespecimensduetosideeffects.
