I Sogni e le ossessioni di Michele Mari e Gianfranco Baruchello

Michele Mari and Gianfranco Baruchello have published a volume entitled Sogni (2017), which consists of two sections: the first contains thirty-six fragments by the writer, printed on yellow usomano paper, entitled Oniroschediasmi, and a second collects sixty-four reproductions of Baruchello's drawings, on ivory coated paper, entitled In Store. Sogni (Dreams) is the mature fruit of the collaboration of two writer-artists or designer-artists. The aim of my analysis is to highlight Mari's contribution to the artist's book, highlighting the similarities between the two sections both from the point of view of common motifs and artistic practices. In order to demonstrate that the dual talents of both are the common and indispensable platform for the realisation of the artist's book, I will begin by analysing the two parts separately.

Michele Mari e Gianfranco Baruchello pubblicano un volume intitolato Sogni (2017), composto di due sezioni: una prima contiene trentasei frammenti dello scrittore, stampati su carta usomano gialla, dal titolo Oniroschediasmi e una seconda raccoglie sessantaquattro riproduzioni dei disegni di Baruchello, su carta patinata avorio, intitolata In Store. Sogni è il frutto maturo della collaborazione di due scrittori-artisti o disegnatori-letterati. L’obiettivo della mia analisi consiste nell’evidenziare il contributo di Mari al libro d’artista, mettendo in risalto le assonanze tra le due sezioni sia dal punto di vista dei motivi comuni, sia dal punto di vista delle pratiche artistiche. Per dimostrare che il doppio talento di entrambi è la piattaforma comune e indispensabile per la realizzazione del libro d’artista inizierò ad analizzare le due parti separatamente.
