Un Punto di vista sul design italiano

The text proposes a reading of the history of design as a narrative structure around the project; alongside the complexity of the facts and meanings of history emerge "micro-stories" experienced and told by the protagonists, but also forms of refined and engaging storytelling that feed needs and desires. The text by Giovanni Lauda - which follows in the volume - is therefore proposed as an example of an approach that is not very common today: a designer who takes up the challenge of implementing an openly personal and at the same time historicizing interpretation of Italian design.

Il testo propone una lettura della storia del design essenzialmente come una struttura narrativa intorno al progetto; accanto alla complessità dei fatti e dei significati della Storia, emergono "microstorie" vissute e raccontate dai protagonisti, ma anche forme di raffinato e coinvolgente storytelling che alimenta bisogni e desideri. Il testo di Giovanni Lauda - che segue nel volume- viene quindi proposto come un esempio di un approccio poco comune oggi: un progettista che raccoglie la sfida di mettere in campo una lettura del design italiano contemporaneo dichiaratamente personale e contemporaneamente storicizzante.
