Abstract
In fr. I R.3 (Afranius’ Abducta) we can recognise an imagery connected to the rhetorical-philosophical Stoic tradition. Indeed, the adjective senticosus introduces the metaphor of thorns, a stylistic device associated with the Stoic sermo. This interpretation seems to be confirmed by Apuleius’ use of this adjective in Florida 18, which contains the famous ‘sophism of Protagoras’.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
