The article explores the “legge statutaria” n. 26/2020, recently passed by the Regional Assembly of Sicily. It tries to clarify the functioning of some legal instruments related with the form of regional government. Although it does not seem to be a “revolutionary” novelty it could be appreciated as a first step towards a more effective implementation of the norms included in the “Statuto” of one of the five Italian Regions provided of a special autonomy
