Dal bambino maltrattato all’adolescente a rischio: il ruolo dei fattori di sviluppo nel rischio di recidiva per minori autori di reato

Risk factors related to the family environment and mental distress have been identified as risk factors for deviant behaviour and delinquency during adolescence. This paper, in particular, wants to highlight the specificity of adverse childhood experiences in a sample of young prisoners at the Minor Court of Palermo. In addition to the high presence of emotional neglect and psychological and physical abuse, in this sample there are high percentages of psychopathological symptoms, significantly related to an increased risk of recidivism. The data collected will be improve the studies on the subject but also offer interesting insights for the prevention and the management of juvenile delinquency in the psychoeducational, social and legal fields.
