Firstly, the paper focuses on "vulnerability", as a multifaceted condition that can affect human existence and intersect with judicial dynamics. In this context, reflections are mainly dedicated to the victim but also to other procedural subjects. Subsequently, the Author considers the assessment of that condition, as well as the consequences that arise within criminal proceedings, also in terms of compensatory mechanisms implemented by the judicial system. Overall, the exixtence of numerous "contradictions" represents characterising element of the matter.
