La « prononciation figurée » dans les péritextes des dictionnaires de Pierre Rouède

The intrinsically didactic value of the prefatory discourse is highlighted by the question of pronunciation in the peritexts of Pierre Rouède's dictionaries. Starting from the analysis of six editions of this repertoire, published between 1911 and 1965, this article shows the innovative character of Rouède's dictionary as regards the morpho-phonological description of Italian and French, without neglecting the comparison with renowned contemporary dictionaries. The examination of the prefational texts allows to underline the strengths and weaknesses of the system of "figurative pronunciation" devised by Rouède, the most effective in the Franco-Italian lexicographical panorama before the introduction of the API in the second half of the 20th century.

Il valore intrinsecamente didattico del discorso prefazionale è evidenziato dalla questione della pronuncia nei peritesti dei dizionari di Pierre Rouède. A partire dall'analisi di sei edizioni di questo repertorio, pubblicate tra il 1911 e il 1965, questo articolo mostra il carattere innovativo del dizionario di Rouède per quanto riguarda la descrizione morfo-fonologica dell'italiano e del francese, senza tralasciare il confronto con rinomati dizionari contemporanei. L'esame dei testi prefazionali permette di sottolineare i punti di forza e di debolezza del sistema di "pronuncia figurata" ideato da Rouède, il più efficace nel panorama lessicografico franco-italiano prima dell'introduzione dell'API nella seconda metà del XX secolo.
