Il contributo dell’Archeologia Virtuale per lo studio dell’architettura nell’area del Santuario di Apollo: la simulazione dello spazio e della percezione visiva

Reconstructive studies are not just about producing reconstructions of buildings but also represent a fully-fledged method of research in their own right, using the inter- and multidisciplinary techniques associated with Virtual Reality as a means of producing information. Particularly significant in this regard are applications designed to reconstruct the visual perception of space. In Hierapolis these analyses were performed in the area of the Sanctuary of Apollo, the only place in the city that lends itself to this type of study in that it consists of a large and clearly marked space that has been thoroughly investigated.
