Favara Futures: Research Workshop

In a research project between the University of Palermo and Leibniz Universität Hannover, “Dynamics of Periphery” were discussed in a workshop in Palermo. These conceptual approaches were combined with a research workshop in Favara with master’s students from both universities; in collaboration with the municipality of Favara and with FARM Cultural Park Favara. These workshops were funded with the University Dialogue Programme Southern Europe of the DAAD. The transversal research between architecture, urban design, arts, local and regional development highlights the need and the potential of new ways of integrating “Dynamics of Periphery” into debates and policies about the futures of habitat in Europe.
