NUOVI TERRITORI DEL DESIGN TRA ARTIGIANATO E LUOGHI STORICI DELLA CITTÀ _ NEW TERRITORIES OF DESIGN BETWEEN ARTISAN HERITAGE AND HISTORICAL SITES OF THE CITY

The rediscovery of craftsmanship transcends the boundaries of economy and invites us to reflect on what may be today creativity. Over the next decade, the most brilliant innovators, who have visions of new products with the potential to change the future, will no longer have to entrust to others the realization of their ideas, but may produce and distribute themselves, taking advantage of the web and new technologies. The project CREZI_FOOD_KIT moves within this system. It involves the historical centre of Palermo starting from food and it tries to create a supply chain whose products, support each other in search of a new way where tradition and innovation walk side by side.

La riscoperta del lavoro artigiano supera i confini dell’economia e ci invita a riflettere su cosa può essere oggi la creatività. Nel prossimo decennio, gli innovatori più brillanti non dovranno più affidare ad altri la realizzazione delle loro idee, ma potranno produrre e distribuire da soli, sfruttando web e nuove tecnologie. Il progetto CREZI_FOOD_KIT si muove all’interno di questo sistema. Coinvolge il Centro Storico di Palermo partendo dal cibo e prova a creare una filiera i cui prodotti si sostengono a vicenda alla ricerca di una nuova via in cui tradizione e innovazione camminano fianco a fianco.
