This paper examines the amendments made to the Italian regulation of individuals’ dismissals following the enforcement of labor law reforms in the last years. The starting point of the analysis is the impact that the new provision had on the previous legislative framework and the main issues resulting from its implementation. Also, this paper concludes with an evaluation of the concept of “flexsecurity”, which is often used in the context of the current crisis.
