The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) located at the USA National Library of Medicine has contributed in a remarkable way to spread the use of bibliographic search systems activating and regularly updating a friendly interface as PubMed. In particular, PubMed is a search engine that searches Medline and other databases for scientific literature citations.
