HALAESA ARCHONIDEA. Dallo scavo della città all’analisi dei contesti

This volume collects the Pproceedings of the international conference “Halaesa Archonidea: From the excavation of the city to the analysis of contexts,” organized by the Department of Cultures and Societies at the University of Palermo (December 5-7, 2024). The conference is organized into four sections: 1. Updates on the excavations at Halaesa. 2. A comparative approach: Late Hellenistic and Imperial-era contexts and materials from Halaesa and from north-central and northeastern Tyrrhenian Sicily. 3. Archaeometric data, stone materials, ecofacts, resources, and environmental evidence from the Halaesa excavations. 4. Archaeology and history in the Tusa River area. The aim is to present the results of the most recent research on Halaesa and its surrounding territory, also from a comparative point of view focused on some ancient cities of northeastern Sicily (Cefalù, Tindari, Abacaenum, Troina).
