Distribution of the epithets of the Matres and Matronae

Interactive map of the votive dedications to the Matres and Matronae across the north-western Roman provinces (Germania Inferior, Germania Superior, Gallia Belgica, Britannia, etc.), compiled within the FRAG – Fractured Roots project (PRJ-2171, Università degli Studi di Palermo). The map plots 573 dedications (469 Matronae, 104 Matres) with 123 cult epithets, allows filtering by type, epithet and province, and displays the text of each inscription in Leiden conventions with its bibliographical references. Presented at the 16th International Colloquium Latin Vulgaire – Latin Tardif (Verona, 14–19 September 2026).
