What happens if we take psychology as the core of Gilbert Simondon’s philosophical project? This work proposes a systematic reinterpretation of his thought, highlighting the decisive role of psychology within Simondon’s theoretical framework. Far from being a marginal or preliminary field, psychology emerges as the genetic and methodological centre through which individuation—understood as a relational and metastable process—becomes intelligible. Through an approach that intertwines historical reconstruction and theoretical analysis, the volume demonstrates the continuity and evolution of a genetic psychology capable of conceiving the individual as a reality in the making and structurally open. From this perspective, the philosophy of technology appears as a necessary extension of the psychic problem: technology and the psyche co-identify, delineating a field of relations that involves individual, collective and symbolic dimensions. By drawing on long-neglected texts and proposing a unified reconstruction of Simondon’s corpus, the book restores genetic psychology to its central role, filling a significant gap in the literature. What emerges is a highly topical theoretical framework, capable of renewing the contemporary debate on subjectivity, between life, technology and the symbolic.

Abstract
What emerges is a highly topical theoretical framework, capable of renewing the contemporary debate on subjectivity, between life, technology and the symbolic.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
