How Many Women Are in the Room? brings together the selected and award-winning projects, offering a broad and articulated overview of innovative languages and approaches, the result of the work of female students, professionals, and researchers. Visual projects by designers from around the world are paired with essays, focused pieces, and interviews that explore themes related to design and feminism: work, rights, disparities, languages, and activism. The volume is completed by essays from activists, designers, and international scholars who reflect, through visual projects, on issues related to women’s work, gender equity, and cultural and social disparities, alongside interviews with key figures from fields such as civil rights, communication, art, journalism, politics, and institutions.
