Il fototesto autobiografico. Narrazioni e esperienza del sé in Annie Ernaux e Michele Mari

This book proposes a definition of the autobiographical phototext matured through a Close Reading of some works by two emblematic contemporary authors, Annie Ernaux and Michele Mari, writers who have chosen to experiment with new forms of verbo-visual devices to tell about themselves. The study of the autobiographical phototext combines literary theory and visual culture, post-classical narratology and enunciation theory, philosophical and aesthetic studies, and allows us to question, first of all, the form of the device used, and in particular, the choice of images and the gazes that produced and re-mediated them, and again the effects of identity they produce in the reader-observer who experiences them.

Il volume propone una definizione del fototesto autobiografico maturata attraverso un Close Reading di alcune opere di due autori emblematici della contemporaneità, Annie Ernaux e Michele Mari, scrittori che hanno scelto di sperimentare nuove forme di dispositivi verbo-visuali per raccontare di sé. Lo studio del fototesto autobiografico coniuga la teoria letteraria e la cultura visuale, la narratologia post-classica e la teoria dell’enunciazione, gli studi filosofici e quelli estetologici e consente di interrogarsi innanzitutto sulla forma del dispositivo utilizzato, e in particolare, sulla scelta delle immagini e sugli sguardi che le hanno prodotte e ri-mediate e ancora sugli effetti di identità che producono nel lettore-osservatore che ne fa esperienza.
