This research uses text analytics techniques to investigate the Bank of Italy's annual reports. Our goals are twofold: crisis identification and social and economic trends. We aim to determine if the language used in the reports can serve as an indicator for identifying or predicting financial crises, including their severity. Also, we try to uncover insights into labour market dynamics, inequality trends, and social behaviours within Italy.
