Inspired by a meeting between Italian and Danish experts, the volume explores the theme of the relationship with donkeys and its possible functions in different fields: educational, training of trainers and therapeutic. From a systemic, zooanthropological and embodied perspective, and starting from the ethological specificities of the donkey, it offers examples of activities conducted both in Denmark and in Italy in different fields and contexts and also provides practical suggestions. It also reports, critically, the Italian legislation regarding Animal Assisted Interventions (AIA), the training courses and the role of the various professional figures envisaged; in general it envisages a cultural change that, thanks also to significant experiences, such as those with donkeys, allows humans to acquire a new ecological sensitivity.
Prendendo spunto da un incontro tra esperti italiani e danesi , il volume approfondisce il tema della relazione con gli asini e delle sue possibili funzioni in ambito educativo, formativo e terapeutico. In una prospettiva sistemica, zooantropologica ed embodied, e a partire dalle specificità etologiche dell’asino, offre esempi di attività condotte sia in Danimarca che in Italia in diversi ambiti e contesti e fornisce anche spunti operativi. Conducendo una riflessione critica, riporta, inoltre, la normativa italiana riguardo agli Interventi Assistiti con gli Animali (IAA), ai percorsi formativi e al ruolo delle diverse figure professionali previste; in generale prospetta un cambiamento culturale che, grazie anche ad esperienze significative, quali quelle con gli asini, permetta agli esseri umani di acquisire una nuova sensibilità ecologica.
