The admissions scheduling in elective surgery have garnered significant attention, posing challenges for healthcare administrators and operations management scholars. Challenges include managing, coordinating, and using of clinical staff, medical equipment and patients involved in admission scheduling context. Several scholars had focused on admission scheduling issue by exploring primarily pre-operative stage information and neglecting post-operative stage information, that the management and knowledge of which remains an open challenge for the few studies on it. Our study proposes an innovative quantitative approach, which includes Predictive Process Monitoring, to forecast post-operative details, aiding in optimizing admission scheduling.
