This study examines the synergy of Big Data Analytics (BDA) and Predictive Process Monitoring (PPM) in enhancing Operating Room (OR) efficiency through a hybrid model integrating knowledge-driven and data-driven approaches. Utilizing data from an Italian hospital, the research explores how combining empirical data analysis with deep clinical insights can improve OR efficiency and patient outcomes. The findings highlight the potential of this integrated approach to optimize resource allocation and operational strategies, making a case for the broader application of such models in healthcare settings to enhance both efficiency and patient care.

Abstract
This study examines the synergy of Big Data Analytics (BDA) and Predictive Process Monitoring (PPM) in enhancing Operating Room (OR) efficiency through a hybrid model integrating knowledge-driven and data-driven approaches. Utilizing data from an Italian hospital, the research explores how combining empirical data analysis with deep clinical insights can improve OR efficiency and patient outcomes. The findings highlight the potential of this integrated approach to optimize resource allocation and operational strategies, making a case for the broader application of such models in healthcare settings to enhance both efficiency and patient care.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
