The civil forest is a vision for the city of the future. Establishing unexpected forests in urban environments by demineralising the soil is an opportunity to improve environmental conditions, to generate unprecedented aesthetics in the city and to restore harmony with living species. This is possible if one involves in the civil forest the many urban open spaces that have been regained over time by plant species (grasses, shrubs but also trees). The civil forest aims to propose a multi-species, non anthropocentric model of cohabitation, which can be implemented in all cities that wish to do so, irrespective of regardless of their size, number of inhabitants, history and, almost always, their geographical location.
