The document illustrates some salient points of part of the research conducted on one of the aspects considered relevant for the study of the text of the Toxaris by Lucian of Samosata, namely the importance of the care and protection of friends, within a dialogue whose framework shows how the competitive paradigm of an oratory competition can be refunctionalized from a collaborative and reconciliatory perspective.
