Gustoso e saporito. Introduzione al discorso gastronomico

No one can confuse eating with nourishment and the table is at the center not only of family life but also of social life. Judging by the increase in the commercial offer of restaurants on the streets of the cities, one wonders how we all managed to feed ourselves sooner. The fact is that today with food we not only support ourselves, but also our relationships. In fact, food means: it elaborates values, it narrates, it builds discourses. Furthermore, food communicates: it presides over the social field, animates debates, unfolds in events, generates the economy. With Tasty and tasty Gianfranco Marrone lays the foundations of the semiotics of food which in recent years has engaged him with field research and theoretical frameworks. Thus he discovers two real idioms: the tasty, with which we recognize what is on the plate; the savory, with which we sensorially perceive aromas, temperatures, textures. These are the languages ​​spoken within the gastronomic discourse.
