The contributions presented here are the revised and expanded version of the interventions carried out by the rapporteurs at the conference on 23 March 2011 titled “Cinematography and Intercultural Education: a window open to the dialogue”, organized by the faculty of the degree program in Education Sciences of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of "Kore" University of Enna. This conference mainly addressed to students attending the above course of study. It started with the projection of “Amira” (2010) film curated by Davide Vigore young director of Enna. The vision, which lasted about 44 minutes, was proposed to the students with the intention of providing to them any insights to reflect on some issues related to the intercultural education: first of all the social integration of foreigners in Italy and intercultural dialogue. The six rapporteurs gave their contributions after the projection of the film: they were all professors from "Kore" University of Enna, at the end a long debate took place between students, teachers and guests who, in various ways, offered their contribution. In addition to director Vigore, accompanied by Alessandro Caiuli photography director of “Amira”, Ameni Saka Tunisian and Muslim student gave her testimony to the conference. Ameni attended the last year of the "Francesco Ferrara" ITC in Mazara del Vallo: she dealt with the story of his "heterocultural" engagement lived between 2008 and 2009 with an Italian boy of Catholic religion.
